I moved to Stanstead Abbotts just over a year ago with my wife, Elaine. I am a retired wooden boatbuilder and engineer.  After having lived in the Middle East for most of my working life, I returned to the UK,  met and married Elaine. After a while moved onto a narrowboat which I had designed, and then had constructed. During this time, I helped set up, promote and run a charity which gave children and adults with disabilities access to the river by means of a specially adapted river craft. The charity still operates today after nearly 25 years of service to the community, something that has brought joy to many thousands.
I am on the Stanstead Abbotts Concert Society committee (SACS) assisting in bringing great music to the area, with events held once a month at the Parish Hall.
I wish to continue doing work with the local community here in Stanstead Abbotts, hence the reason for becoming a Councillor.
I look forward to being of assistance.
